SAFETY
In 2013, prior to our bond issuance in 2014, I was asked by the administration to participate in the safety assessment discussions. We interviewed consultants from across the country to determine the parameters we would present to our citizen bond committee.
I am proud that GISD has been in the forefront of safety implementation for well over a decade. I have served continually on the District’s Safety Committee since inception. I have also chaired the District’s Facility Committee overseeing the implementation of the bonds. Additionally, I founded and chaired the District’s Policy Committee to ensure all safety criteria were included. The ultimate goal–to keep our 53,000 students and 7500 faculty members safe.
